"I enjoy sculpting the human figure as it is one of the most expressive forms available.  The posture and positioning communicates mood, intention, and feeling. The natural colors of the silver, brass, gold, and copper suggest human diversity. The weaving can represent interconnectedness, or interaction.

I find that dance poses, and other poses in which the body appears to be caught in motion work well in mobiles.  I am fascinated by the constantly changing appearance of mobiles, and enjoy the shadows cast by my work, which can appear to be three-dimensional and are striking to watch in direct light."
