Eric C. Johnson’s artwork explores the contrasts between the organic or soft edges of paper and acrylic and the geometrical or hard edges of aluminum. Expanding his use of dramatic texture, three dimensions and color, every piece searches the infinite planes of imaginative display.
"In my new work I am working on large aluminum surfaces using acrylic paints and different types of texturing gels and resin based clay. In the past when I have embarked on a new journey artistically the artwork takes a while to find it's path, I suspect it will be same with this series."
